Giannis Antetokounmpo wins the NBA MVP Award and becomes the 3rd youngest NBA player that wins the award (2018/2019 NBA Season).
The Milwaukee Bucks didnt make it to the NBA finals, but Giannis Antetokounmpo at 24 won big at the 2019 NBA Awards by winning the MVP award.
Giannis, in tears, earned the Most Valuable Player award after a splendid season with the Bucks making it to the Play-Offs but eventually losing to the, 2019 NBA Champions, Toronto Raptors and Kawhi Leonard.
“MVP is not about stats and numbers. It is all about winning and all about making sure you go out there and do everything you can to win,” Antetokounmpo said Monday night. “I think that is what we did as a team.” ~Giannis
Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2018/2019 season had and average of 27,7 points and 12,5 rebounds while he also earned All-NBA first-team honors this season, (6th time). Milwaukee Bucks with Giannis’s leadership had their best record for the regular season and the franchise reached the Eastern Conference finals.

2019 MVP Standings:
In the 2019 MVP race OKC’s Paul George and HOU’s James Harden were left behind in MVP votes:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo MVP balloting: 941 points – 78 1st place votes.
- James Harden MVP balloting: 776 points – 23 1st place votes.
Giannis became the third youngest MVP Winner in the history of the NBA while he accomplished what only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had previously achieved for the Milwaukee Bucks.
The most important thing this season was that we saw the transformation of Giannis Antetokounmpo from a great talent to an NBA superstar.
